Brendan had been asking about taking Karate lessons and then a martial arts school partnered with Brendan's school to offer a couple of lessons after school for exactly the right price.
The instructor was very good and Brendan really took to the classes. He enjoyed the discipline, exercise, manners and reward system. He worked very hard and earned a bunch of stripes. He was even the first in his class to go to the studio for extra credit and to receive his free uniform. Here are some pictures from the graduation.

And he even received third place in the award ceremony! I couldn't have been more proud of the progress he made and how focused he remained. And these are all first graders who won the awards ~ a great class of kids!
