Day at the Park and Letterboxing

We went to O'Brien Park in Parker this afternoon so that I could meet with a couple of friends from church to talk about Vacation Bible School and so that Brendan could run around and be a kid.  While we were there, we ran into a couple of other friends who were there with their beautiful children, too.

Here's a picture of the girls.  Cute, huh?
And of course a few pictures of Brendan with some more art in the park.
Then we headed out for our first Letterboxing venture.  It's so much fun!!  We get to walk around and explore, Brendan feels like we're on a treasure hunt, and it's something we can all do together.  Here's a link if you're interested in learning more about letterboxing.

We had two quests that were very near each other.  One started off at this Rio Grande caboose.  You can see Brendan carrying our official letterboxing satchel.
Here's our first "find"!  Check out that beautiful smile!  This is what it's all about, if you ask me.
And here's our second "find".
And of course we had to make time to stop and smell the flowers.  Would you believe we found this one at the McDonald's drive-thru?  Letterboxing made us very thirsty and in need of one hot fudge sundae for our treasure hunter.
