Nana (Meridith's mom) joined us for Christmas this year and got to help us out with our Christmas Eve traditions. Brendan always gets new jammies ~ for all those photos on Christmas morning. You can see his delight in this tradition here. Nana managed to get him to smile when we agreed he could open one of the presents she brought for him. Then we set out carrots for the reindeer as well as peppermint patties and milk for Santa. (We usually make chocolate chip cookes for Santa but that didn't happen this year. I'm still trying to figure out how, exactly, I ran out of time this year.) All in all, I think we still had a very successful and happy time.
